CARA-JEAN ALYSSA KITCHI
HEY THERE! my name is Cara and i'm many years old.
i'm a wiminz and i've been roleplaying for too many years. i was referred here by no-one (myself)
but enough about me, here's my character. =]
nicknames: Cara
age: 19, 20th September 2002
religion: None, but she is open-minded
sexuality: Heterosexual (though many have diagnosed her as Asexual)
marital status: Single
occupation: Nanny
playby: Ririka Kawashima
hometown: She was born in Scotland
parents: Makoto and Illoynda Kitchi, both deceased
siblings: None
brief history: born to Makoto Kitchi and Dulcia Yansa-Kitchi in Edinburgh, Scotland. The family moved to America with their baby daughter, and Makoto quickly made a name for himself in the automotive industry. The factory where Makoto worked was blown up one night when Dulcia went to visit her husband, neither adult made it out of the building.
Even though his daughter was only a mere toddler, Makoto had already planned out her life and in his will had named all the schools she was to attend, fortunately most of them boarding schools with high academic and athletic standards. Before the schooling started (and in between schools), Cara-Jean has spent a lot of her time in and out of foster homes Europe and some further. The girl’s foster homes were chosen specifically by her social worker; to hone her training.
She remembers everyone and everything as though it happened yesterday, except the one thing she wants, her parents.
Cara knew that life never played out the way one wanted it to, well it never did for her anyway, and finding out that she was pregnant at the age of sixteen caused a lot of things to change for her, along with court-ordered therapy, so she graduated high school early and just concentrated on becoming a person, though she did find a home with the Thornes
Moving to America with her uncle had seemed the best decision at the time. The man she had met and got to know had been wonderful, and she felt that her daughter would be safe in his presence. Things had been great too, at the beginning, and then she began to notice subtle changes in the man's persona. The first things to go were her beloved ponies, and she hoped they had gone to good homes, and then there were rules she had to follow, and suddenly, she was the man's housekeeper and cook. She then took matters into her own hands and began planning things and got herself and her daughter out of there before anything happened that could not be reversed, which brought her back to Hickstead.

Horses
Dancing
Gymnastics
Books
Art - she enjoys drawing, painting, sketching
dislikes:
Loud noises
Lightning
Big dogs - well all dogs in general
Closed spaces
Failure
Doctors - she avoids any medical establishment like the plague, though she's fully up-to-date with all her shots.
strengths:
Her memory (she has a photographic memory so I guess it could also be a weakness, blessing and a curse kind of thing)
Intelligence, she is very bright, though this only shows in her school work
Studious, if you need a study buddy or a tutor, Cara's your girl
Loyal, if she’s told something in confidence nothing would make her break that
Good listener (she doesn’t talk a lot, but she listens really well)
She also has a talent at analysing horses' personalities
weaknesses:
Doesn’t trust anyone (including herself)
Subservient (obeys others unquestioningly)
Perfectionist, she always strives for a level perfection that doesn't exist, no matter what she does, it could always be better.
Cara's main weakness is her inability to lie though what she says may not always be the complete truth when asked about herself.
Stress, she can't handle it and throws up when completely stressed out.
secrets:
Blames herself for her parents' death
Will make excuses from having to eat - it is the one control she has over her life
fears:
She is deathly afraid of failure.
Men - anyone older than herself really, but men most of all
Displeasing people
Intimacy
habits:
She is obsessively clean (not diagnosed as having OCD though), and the more stressed she is the more she will clean, even if this means she showers half dozen times a day, or she will clean her surroundings, which includes scrubbing an already clean floor.
Picks at her cuticles
Doesn’t like to sit down, it’s not that she always has to keep moving, but she doesn’t like sitting if she has another option.
overall personality: Due to her height, or lack there-of, Cara-Jean is used to not being noticed by people around her, but she is happy to remain in the shadows as she has pretty much been a pebble in someone’s shoe since the death of her parents when she was a babe-in-arms. Since she has been in foster care most of her life, she is used to change and not a lot fazes the girl.
She has the copper skin of her Native American heritage, while her facial features clearly shows off her Japanese blood, her clipped English accent tends to throw people off when they first meet her. With grey eyes that seem to look straight into your soul, this small girl has more to offer on the inside that her outer appearance may suggest.
Due to her lifestyle, she is well spoken in a number of different languages, but will not show the fact off. Cara-Jean is soft spoken and will only speak up if called upon. Though, she will speak out, even if she knows she will come worst off, if she sees a child or animal being abused.
Trust is something that doesn't come easily with Cara, so don't take it personally if she doesn't instantly warm to you. You want her to trust you? She doesn't even trust herself. It takes a lot to break past the wall the girl has built around herself, but once you manage to see through, she is no more than a fifteen year old girl with a strong passion for what she does.
In school, she will sit at the front of the room as this keeps most people from speaking to her. She thoroughly enjoys all forms of academic classes, though if asked she would say that history and English would be her favourites.
She strives for perfection and will not settle for failure.
Many look at her age and pass her off as just another kid, but if you manage to get her to open up enough to give you more than a monosyllabic answer, Cara is much older than an average teenager as she has had to grow up very quickly in the world of competitive sport, and can quite easily carry on a rather sophisticated conversation with adults. She does find it difficult to talk to those her own age though, just because she doesn't do the whole movie and girl-talk thing.[/ul]
As she reached the paddock she had collected the gelding from the day before she smiled as she say the chestnut grazing not too far away from the gate. “Hey handsome.” She greeted him softly as she let herself into the paddock. “Can I come and sit with you?” She offered the gelding her hand, showing him that she didn’t have anything there, before she sat on the ground not too far away from him. “Have you made a name for yourself?” She asked. She sat up straight as the gelding’s head shot up, ears flattened. And the girl quickly scrambled to her feet as she heard the sound of thundering hooves and the squeal of a very hostile horse.
It happened in no more than a heartbeat; a taffy dapple appeared, chasing the chestnut off before the gelding who had charged through the paddock looked at the girl with a menacing look; ears flat, nostrils flared with eyes as wide as they would go and neck snaking out toward the girl. Everything about the pony’s body language told the other ponies that he was the boss and everyone would bow to him, horse and human alike. Cara arched an eyebrow and crossed her arms in front of her, one hip jutting out, as she returned the gelding’s challenge with a pose that said: and you’re going to do what? The two of them eyed each other up until the pony took a step back, lowered his head and blew out a breath toward the ground. “See, you aren’t as tough as you look.” She said as she offered the pony her hand.
She glanced at the sky as she scratched him behind the ears. “I’d better head inside.” She told the pony as she headed back to the gate, let herself out of the pasture and headed inside.
